This 12-page lexicon was developed to standardize terminology used in DHS analyses of domestic, non-Islamic extremist threats within the United States. (Intelligence Resource Program) It provides clear definitions for groups and concepts—such as “aboveground,” “anarchist extremists,” and “homegrown violent extremist”—derived from open sources and refined through analyst workshops.
